At Screams By the Sea we want to connect filmmakers to the industry professionals we know. This year we would like to introduce to you - The Hot-Swap Tables!
Guests with FULL DAY PASS will have the chance to book a one-to-one 10 min session with 3 amazing industry professionals. You can ask questions about career paths, what got them in the industry or even be really specific and learn from their huge experience in the film industry.
The sessions are only 10 minutes (booking system says 15 min to allow rotation the day). You may book multiple mentors but not multiple session with the same mentor.
The Concept

Originally from Dorset, Pete is the Director of VFX for Gorilla in Cardiff. In recent years, he has been the VFX Producer on several feature films and TV series, including Heartstopper, Dream Horse, Amulet, Apostle, Roald & Beatrix, T.I.M. Lola, and Asteroid City.
He is also a writer/director in his own right and his short film Little Brown Bird screened at Screams by the Sea in 2024.

Paul Sarony is a well-established EP/Producer and Line Producer, with notable credits including Inversion, Juliet Naked, Show Dogs, Vampire Academy – Blood Sisters, The Man Who Would Be Bond, and many more. His extensive background includes producing major series for Netflix, NBC/Universal, Marvel, and Disney, as well as serving as Production Adviser on the Oscar-winning film Shine. Paul is also recognised as a member of the Skillset 100, a network of industry experts.

Hot-Swap Table: Chris Nials - Producer/Founder of IHS

Chris founded the Independent Horror Society in 2012 to try and find a bunch of like-minded people to watch horror movies with. He was quickly swept up by the sheer passion and love for the genre that he found within the indie horror community.
Since then, he has tried to make the London Horror Society not only be a place for horror fans to come together and share the love of their favorite genre, but to also help and assist filmmaking professionals from all areas create and share their immense talent and output in any way it can.
Chris’ overall ambition is to close the vast audience gap between studio and indie-produced films, so that a great movie is seen by as many people as possible, no matter what size the marketing budget.
